The program was created in late 2011 using the Open Watcom IDE. I decided to start the computer's game play by having it randomly select lines (a guess). After a certain percentage of moves were complete, the program's method was to perform a "smart guess". If the guess would not result in the computer capturing a cell (and going again) and if the guess would result in an opportunity for the computer's opponent to capture a cell, another guess would be made. By comparing a battery of random guesses, the computer would select the move that would result in no capture or the move that would result in the least captures for it's opponent. When the game was completed in 2012, the computer could play but not at a competitive level.
